
Wawasee 106 Kaleb Salazar was one of five Warriors named All-Northern Lakes Conference for the 2022-23 season.
Wawasee’s runner-up Northern Lakes Conference finish in the standings along with work at the conference tournament yielded five selections to the All-NLC list for the 2022-23 season.
Two selections were automatic based off championships won, those being from Kaleb Salazar at 106 and Cameron Senter at 113. Three more were chosen All-NLC in Logan Stuckman at 138, Hunter Miller at 152 and Gavin Malone at 170. Salazar was the top seed at 106 at the NLC tournament en route to repeating as champion, and Senter came in as the No. 4 seed to work his way through to his first title. Stuckman, Miller and Malone all were two-seeds and finished as runners-up in the tournament for the Warriors, which went 6-1 overall in the round robin and were runner-up in the NLC tournament.
Mishawaka went 7-0 and won the tournament title to win the NLC outright for the second straight year. Coach of the Year Steve Sandefur had nine of his 14 varsity starters named to the All-NLC board: Will Mason, Zar Walker, Mikey Robles, Beau Brabender, Isaac Valdez and Christian Chavez and Josh Kite, and both Gunnar Sandefur and Zander Paden as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
